Resolving Simple Issues 

The raison d’etre of the Foot and Ankle Research Consortium, Inc is to help podiatrists pass the board certification examination of their choice. We work very hard to achieve our mission and have successfully done so for almost 20 years. Still, occasionally a colleague is unhappy despite our best efforts.

And so, after almost two decades, we have learned that such unease occurs for a number of minor reasons that are usually reconciled by our administrative staff or technology department. These include:

• Computer illiteracy [one doctor asked the meaning of the term “icon”].
• MAC incompatibility without a PC-2-MAC bridge utility program.
• Wrong product [occurs when purchased by a spouse or parent unfamiliar with podiatry exams; or the doctor does not know the difference among the various boards].
• Late delivery [occurs when ordered by USPS, a week before the test, and without special delivery].
• Not reading instruction manuals or reviewing our website; or not calling for information.
• Cost [bulk order and residency discounts are available].
• Guarantee [product backed; not money backed].
• Payment terms [checks or money orders reduce identity theft concerns].
• Failure: [we reverse-engineered one doctor's returned CD to find that less than 3 of 120 possible hours of preparation time was spent using it].

Why?

The best single product for the Re-Certification test is indeed the study guide, as discussed with you. The Re-Cert test involves less rote memory [the QA product is best for first-timers], and requires much more experiential input [Re-Certification study guide and library]. Hence, the different didactic psychometric styles.

Nevertheless, you can order the QAs for only $250 and keep the discount if you wish. Still … this is not recommended for you unless you are very fearful of the Re-Cert test. Save your money. But, we will comply with this caveat. To study with what you have now is the most cost effective way to go. And, recall our “guarantee to pass.” Good luck. You will do fine!

Hi Dr. Marcinko

I read on the website that credit cards online could not be submitted. but is it possible to call in and order the software with a credit card over the phone?  This would be ordered with a University Visa Credit Card that is approved for such purposes.  If not, then it would be fine, I would just purchase outright and then submit for reimbursement by University.
